This manual describes the single baroclinic mode version
of the Neelin-Zeng Quasi-Equilibrium
Tropical Circulation Model (QTCM1),
developed at the Department of Atmospheric Sciences
at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Primary development of the QTCM1 was done
by J. David Neelin and Ning Zeng. The original driver was
written by William Weibel.
Alistair Adcroft
provided the direct Poisson solver used in the QTCM1.
Chia Chou developed a cloud/radiation package used in the model.
This manual was written by Johnny Lin, Ning Zeng,
David Neelin, and Chia Chou. Contributions to the documentation
were also made by Katrina Hales and Hui Su.
This model and its documentation is, by necessity, offered to the community on an ``as-is'' basis, with no warranties or guarantees given or implied. However, we earnestly desire comments and suggestions to help improve both the model and the manual. Users are particularly requested to please notify us of any bugs they find in the model.
