and scaling in earth science processes. Past Lorenz Lecturers have included
Benoit Mandelbrot (2001), Donald Turcotte (2002), and Rafael Bras (2003). Michael lectured on "The Earth as a Complex System, and a Simple Way
of Looking at It."
