The French Minstry of Education and of Research sponsors
an annual Festival of Science, held this year during the week of
14--19 October. One of the major themes this year in Paris is
the environment and a key location is the Ecole Normale
Superieure. In this framework, Michael Ghil is holding a
public lecture addressed mainly to high-school seniors and
undergraduates of the Latin Quarter in Paris.
