ULRP Team teleconference, Mar 19, 2009
During today's telecom we discussed comparison of the DREAM and VERB
results. Binbin Ni presented plots. We decided to continue working on
comparison of plots and that it is beneficial to assimilate satellites
with different errors. By assimilating satellites sequentially we can
assign different errors to the satellite observation even when
measurements are made at the same L-shells. We discussed results of
simulations with different boundary conditions and decided to move the
boundary outwards for VERB simulations.
Action items:
Binbin: double check that plots and data are consistent
Josef and Yue: email data used in the paper, check values of mu and J
Josef: email errors used for the study and the results of the
reanalysis for the comparison.
Dmitri: move boundary to high L-shells, explore : 1) boundary at polar
orbit, 2) boundary with losses, 3) flexible boundary
